Should Mattresses be Vacuumed as Part of the Cleaning Routine?

26 April 2022

Vacuuming mattresses is an important step in the cleaning routine to keep them in prime condition to offer comfort for the guest. What routine maintenance does a mattress need?

Mattresses accumulate an inordinate amount of dust, dead skin cells, and other nasties which can aggravate allergies, attract dust mites, and lower it’s lifespan. While mattress protectors definitely help in reducing the accumulation, vacuuming the mattress ensures a deeper clean and should be done at least twice a year. If you have limited or no mattress protection, then it is recommended they should be vacuumed every month.

Other factors such as location, climate, guest-type, and rate of usage will impact how often you will need to vacuum the mattress, but ultimately this should definitely be included regularly in your deep-cleaning routine.
