Camp Columba combines passion, experience and innovative thinking to provide a venue for school camps, retreats, special events and more. The camp provides a high standard of accommodation including bunk rooms and private rooms, along with lounges, dining halls and kitchens. These rooms are furnished to suit all guests needs.

Dave and Suzie were looking for a foam mattress with a waterproof durable wipeable cover. Because of this, they contacted Vendella to see if this was something available for them to purchase. Our Innovation Team were able to understand our customers’ challenges and needs to innovate a fit-for-purpose mattress, and this product was perfectly suited to youth camps, hostels and budget accommodation.
We produced a prototype mattress for the camp to trial. David and Suzie placed an order to upgrade all their bunk bed mattresses as a result of this.
This product is now know as our popular Makers Foam Mattress with Waterproof & Fire-Retardant Cover. David and Suzie were the pioneers of this product, because of this, we cannot thank them enough!
