Background.
Established in 2016, and specializing in Kiwifruit orchard management and harvesting, Pro Kiwi Limited is owned and operated by a local family who are passionate about growing kiwifruit. While taking pride in all the orchards they manage, and maintaining a very high standard for growing kiwifruit, the dedicated team has years of experience in the industry. They are committed to delivering top-quality management services to the kiwifruit orchards they manage.
The Project.
Just like other larger operations in NZ, ProKiwi are reliant on the Recognized Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme for an ongoing labor supply during the harvest and pruning period. Regardless of the time of the year, Pro Kiwi are always on the lookout for staff to fill seasonal positions. Wanting to provide a homely environment for their RSE workers, ProKiwi constructed the Keep Village to accommodate up to 35 workers. This village is made up of ten pods, which accommodate two workers per pod. The Keep Village also has a large communal area, with kitchen facilities, dining tables and couches for use during recreational and down time.
