BACKGROUND

Situated in Auckland’s CBD, Rydges Auckland offers 267 spacious guest rooms and a great central location for those travelling on both business and leisure. Boasting itself as one of the finest in the CBD, the hotel is comprised of suites, premium, and deluxe rooms. All of which have been newly refurbished with new luxury beds, pillows, and bedding. The hotel was previously being used as an MIQ facility, and has since been fully refurbished and re-opened it’s doors to the public on May 1st 2022. The hotel is now a luxurious and contemporary space, with panoramic views of the city making it the perfect base for all those who stay there.

THE PROJECT

Having been a MIQ facility for two years during the pandemic, the hotel needed a complete overhaul before it could re-open to the general public. As Vendella has an established relationship with EVENT Hospitality (Rydges parent company), account manager Marty Brodie was in touch with executive Mumsie Rima to talk through product options for the refurb. They also organised a delivery strategy in order to ensure everything was delivered as it was needed in time for the re-opening date.

PROBLEMS WE SOLVED / REASONS FOR PARTNERING WITH VENDELLA

Rydges Auckland and EVENT Hospitality chose to partner with Vendella as we have a long-standing relationship together, and we understand how the group works and what bedding items they require to fit in with their brand standards. We were able to meet their required delivery dates, which was hugely important for their re-opening date.
