BACKGROUND
Located in the heart of Rotorua, the Pullman Hotel is a 130 room, luxurious hotel that was converted from an existing nine-story Government building in the CBD. The hotel is conveniently close to some of the best restaurants and cafes in the city, and only a stones throw from the lakefront. It is perfectly suited for families, couples, the high-end domestic traveler and those looking for adventure. Spread over nine floors, the hotel features a range of different rooms, including penthouse president suites. A ‘Pullman’ stay is an entire experience including: five-star service, contemporary design, a vibrant bar, conference facilities, and a signature restaurant. Stonewood Group (who are property developers and deal with upgrades and refurbishments) contacted Vendella to help with the project and conversion of the new hotel.
THE PROJECT
Pullman being one of the Accor Groups premium hotel brands, has strict brand standards on all product supplied in their hotels. With Vendella being a long-standing partner of the Accor Group, we had an understanding of the products they required for the project. These were already held in-stock in our dispatch warehouse and ready for dispatch when they needed them. Stonewood Group were working to strict budgets and Vendella were able to work within these which was an imperative factor. Delivery was also critical to the project with everything needing to be delivered in time for their scheduled opening.
PROBLEMS WE SOLVED / REASONS FOR PARTNERING WITH VENDELLA
The Pullman Hotel has strict brand standards which Vendella understood and were able to adhere to. Another factor was with the delivery of the goods, we were able to schedule delivery ensuring they arrived in time for their scheduled opening. The Stonewood Group also had a strict budget they were working to so we were able to assist in this area also, enabling the project to go ahead.
