BACKGROUND
Located right on the shoreline, Sudima Kaikōura is a brand new 4.5-star hotel with stunning views of mountains and sea. It’s just a short walk from the township’s retail centre and main activity and attraction booking centres. With state-of-the-art facilities it is the first hotel of this size and quality in Kaikōura, making it the place to stay for visitors to the region. Featuring 120 well-appointed rooms spread over 4 floors, with a mixture of family and guest rooms. Sudima are the first hotel group in New Zealand to be awarded a ‘Carbonzero’ certification and have also won awards for their sustainable achievements. Sudima Kaikōura have set a new precedent for all visitors to the region with world-class facilities, hospitality, and service.
THE PROJECT
Sudima Kaikōura is a brand-new build hotel that opened to the public at the end of 2022. Account Manager Marty Brodie visited the site when building was mid-construction to get a better understanding of the project. While there, he researched what bedding samples they would be interested in, and organised having them sent once the test rooms were being setup. Having a long-standing relationship with the Sudima Hotel Group and helping with other projects, we understood that it was important that their brand standard was shown across all areas of the hotel. Because of this relationship, we were able to make it an easy process for them to set up their rooms at the Hotel.
PROBLEMS WE SOLVED / REASONS FOR PARTNERING WITH VENDELLA
Having a knowledge of Vendella’s service promises, Sudima Kaikōura trusted and chose to partner with us because they knew that we would be able to deliver on time and on budget. Their earnest desire and committal to do business in a sustainable manner was another reason to partner with us as sustainability sits close to our heart.
