Background.
Situated right on the waterfront at 104 Marsden Road in the picturesque township of Paihia (in the beautiful Northland “Bay of Islands” region of New Zealand), Kingsgate Hotel Autolodge Paihia enjoys a premier location with sweeping views across the brilliant blue-green sea and out toward Russell.
With 100 guest rooms and 13 waterfront suites, the property combines resort-style amenities (such as an outdoor pool, games room and restaurant & bar) with a strong offering for both leisure and corporates.
The Project.
This property was focused on strengthening its position in the corporate accommodation market. As part of a broader room refresh, management identified the need to elevate the look and feel of their rooms, particularly the furniture and seating options, to better align with corporate expectations and enhance guest comfort.
The brief was simple but specific:
- Create a smarter, sleeker look to support growth in the corporate segment.
- Select new sofas that were visually appealing, comfortable, durable, and able to fit perfectly into the existing room layout.
- Ensure the furniture aligned with sustainable procurement priorities.
As an existing supplier, Vendella was invited to present solutions and review room configurations.
