BACKGROUND
Sudima Auckland City is a brand new 4.5-star hotel in the heart of Auckland. It’s conveniently located within easy walking distance of bustling shopping, arts, dining, and Auckland’s vibrant waterfront. Featuring 194 well-appointed rooms, including 44 ‘u rooms’ which are designed to encourage ‘self-care’ while travelling. Sudima Hotels as a group are dedicated to sustainability and are the first hotel group in New Zealand to have been awarded a carboNZero certificate. They have also won awards for their sustainable accomplishments and have initiated within the group to become single-use plastic free by 2020. With strong values such as caring and working together, and rated as a Bronze and Platinum Hotel, Sudima Auckland City is for those on leisure or corporate travelers to enjoy.
THE PROJECT
Vendella has a long-standing relationship with the Sudima Hotel Group and we approached those working on the project with product samples and proposals for their consideration. Maree Welgus – Regional General Hotel Manager of the group, was very informative and helpful as to the project, and kept us updated along the way with progress and when we could start delivering their orders. Sudima Hotel required their orders to be made into kits for each room, and then have their deliveries be staggered as their setup team needed the stock. Having a team that was able to help Sudima, and being able to accommodate to their needs, fulfilling our services and promises was important to the success of the project.
PROBLEMS WE SOLVED / REASONS FOR PARTNERING WITH VENDELLA
Sudima Hotel trusted Vendella with being able to supply all their bedding, and other products that they required for their new Hotel. We understood their needs, met their requirements, and having versatile delivery options, made the whole process much more efficient. Also having our environmental and sustainability goals aligning with their own, was another reason for partnering with Vendella.
