Local & Sustainable.
The Convent Hotel has a strong will to support local NZ businesses with a sustainable story. Throughout the fit out of the hotel Vendella was able to recycle over 4,880 plastic bottles.
Strong Relationship.
Having a strong relationship with suppliers was important to the hotel as a key challenge was how different each room was. This required lots of logistics and a supplier that was flexible.
Make It Easy.
When working with such a unique building and each room being different, plans got amended all the time. It was important to the hotel that suppliers made it easy every step of the way.
BACKGROUND
This magnificent new Hotel is built in a converted Spanish Mission-style building that was originally a nunnery. The Convent Hotel has kept that theme and the renovation is both tasteful and immaculate. Vendella got the opportunity to partner with the property when General Manager, Hannah McAlpine reached out. Vendella had previously successfully worked with Hannah in the setup of another Auckland hotel. Guests now frequently comment saying they love the rooms, how quiet it is, the beds, and the city fringe location.
