BACKGROUND

Located across the road from Wellington Hospital, the Sojourn Apartment Hotel is one of the newest Hotels in the capital. The Sojourn is all about comfort, style, space, and making sure their guests are well cared for. They received awards in 2022 for; tourism, sustainability, and traveler reviews. With 43 rooms made up of studio, and 2-bedroom apartments, the Sojourn is perfect for those travelling alone, and families. Being locally owned and operated, this Hotel has the best in mind for all who stay. All of the rooms have been thoughtfully appointed, where contemporary soul and crisp design have been blended with at-home convenience and high-class service. 

Having been converted from an existing building, the Hotel needed to be completely refurbished. Our Account Manager Marty Brodie contacted Saurabh Doshi the General Manager of the Hotel to get the project kicked-off.

THE PROJECT

Being converted from an existing building, the Sojourn needed to be fully refurbished and fitted out. Marty heard about the project and contacted General Manager Saurabh offering our products and services. They discussed ranges of products that we could offer and arranged product samples to trial in the hotel rooms. Saurabh had received quotations from multiple other suppliers, however, based on our quotation, samples, and our service offer to pack their items into room kits for easy installation, Sojourn Apartments chose to partner with Vendella.

The order was confirmed and we were able to build the room kits and hold them in our dispatch warehouse. They were then delivered when needed for the opening of the Hotel in January 2021. Sojourn are now looking to open a new Hotel to add to the group. Based on their experience with the first project and alignment of values have decided to partner with Vendella.

PROBLEMS WE SOLVED / REASONS FOR PARTNERING WITH VENDELLA

Being able to see samples and trial these in their rooms before purchasing was important to the Sojourn Apartment Hotel. Seeing value in our service promises, and with offering to pack the products into rooms kits made a huge difference. Being a brand new hotel, the team had a lot to think of, so by offering this service took a lot of pressure off the team preparing for opening. Saurabh trusted us with our service promises and what we had to offer him for his rooms.
