BACKGROUND

The Taupo Top 10 Holiday Park boasts an excellent central location, close to the town centre and beautiful lake Taupo. The holiday park offers a great range of accommodation options for families, groups, and backpackers alike. Options range from motels and cabin accommodation entailing 39 rooms, to private and sheltered campsites set on 5 acres of well maintained grounds. Eager to make the park a real destination, the owners have recently launched a coffee shop on-site and have just opened their awesome new heated swimming pool. They have gained recent recognition winning several awards including the ‘Best Renovation’ award in 2020 and again in 2021. Two brothers Darren and Matt Blank along with their partners, purchased Taupo Top 10 in March 2019. Having never been in the accommodation industry before, and the property needing to be updated after years of success, this refurbishment required a supplier who was able to lead the owners in the right direction, and this is where Vendella were able to come into play.

THE PROJECT

Taupo Top 10 was purchased in March in 2019 by two brothers and their partners, Darren and Suzie Blank and Matt and Kris Blank, had come from very different career backgrounds before purchasing the Top 10.  A lot of the bedding they had inherited with the purchase, was old and outdated.  Not having any existing suppliers, our account manager Marty went to visit the property, as the new owners were a little lost as to where to start with the upgrade, and had a good chat with them. Steering them in the right direction and advising them as to what products would work the best for their unique property type.

PROBLEMS WE SOLVED / REASONS FOR PARTNERING WITH VENDELLA

It was right place, right time for Vendella. The new owners had no industry knowledge or knowledge of suppliers, and we happened to call in and were able to give them advice that they were looking for, and the right range of product that they required for their refurbishment, and above all they trusted our knowledge and experience.
